If you have young kids, chances are you’ve benefited from GreatSchools.org. They provide terrific insight when researching schools for your kids. They also help once your kid(s) have joined a school.
We spent plenty of time at GreatSchools.org, during the fantasy period when we were trying to get our kids into San Francisco public school. Yes, you read that right: trying to ‘get our kids into SF public school’ It’s a ludicrous process, ripe for gaming and abuse.
But I digress.
So when Chris K. saw one of our SF Giants victory photos, and asked to use it in a blog post about kids, sports & the SF Giants win, we were delighted to say yes.
Connie Matthiessen’s post is well-worth reading. Our own kids’ sports careers are just starting. Just today, we were getting some push back about joining basketball & baseball. Her article helped me think about how I, as a dad, present sports to my kids. My own personal competitiveness can cause a huge backfire, if I’m not careful.
And whoever took that photo of the kid in the confetti must be a real ace! 🙂
